Tim Miller’s honest, but sincere comedy creates a show worth seeing more than once. His life as a sheltered son of 2 Pentecostal ministers, living in Waco, TX, and working at the White House (during three administrations) has made for an energetic comedy style that combines an engaging stage presence with a sarcastic zing.

Comedy Central Laugh Riots Competition/ Megahertz / 98 Rock

Rob started his comedy career in Tysons Corner, Virginia. He quickly became the greatest comedian of all time. It wasn’t long before his humor was curing cancer and feeding the homeless. If you think Brian Regan’s funny, you’re right. Rob’s act is the perfect marriage of sex and love. It’s hot, unadulterated and intense yet sensitive, caring and unconditional. Rob’s stage presence alone will get him into heaven. His unique insights often convince the police to look the other way. He loves animals. Rob Maher’s act is a good book, a glass of single malt scotch, a comfortable pillow, a Jimi Hendrix solo, a scene from Apocalypse Now, a pay per view prison riot and the sun setting over the ocean. It’s everything you ever wanted or needed. So go see Rob Maher. Pay lots of money to see Rob Maher. You earned it. You deserve it. Do the right thing. He’s Rob Maher and you’re welcome.

As well as on stage, you also may have seen Rob each week on MHz’s Megahertz, a weekly live program that provided viewers with the latest in DC entertainment. Rob was the show’s movie critic. Each week, in front of a live studio audience, Rob reviewed movies, peppering the reviews with his special comedic slant. Along with his reviews, Rob interviewed moviegoers as they exited the theater. Rob’s spontaneity made these exchanges a “must see.” For Megahertz, Rob has also interviewed some of today’s biggest stars including Chris Rock, actress and Maxim cover girl Jamie Pressly and International Indie-Star Franke Potente. Megahertz provided the world more proof of Rob’s enormous talent.

98 Rock

Justin Schlegel is relatively new to the DC/Baltimore comedy scene, but in a short time he’s made a big splash. He’s a regular on 98 Rock (and a natural at radio, having worked as a DJ) and makes regular rounds of local open mics and showcases to hammer out new jokes for his ever-growing arsenal. Currently residing in Baltimore, Justin combines an animated, bordering on goofy delivery with a striking bluntness — there is a morbid, dark undercurrent to many of his stories and observations.

John McBride is half-black, half-Italian, mixed with a little Jewish, and probably some other stuff, but he is 100% funny. At least that’s what his mom says. John’s material inspired by the stupid things his friends say, his romantic misadventures, and food he doesn’t like. He has been quoted in the Washington Post and heard on XM radio. McBride was a finalist in DC Improv’s Funniest Person in DC contest 2007. He has worked with comics Ted Alexandro, DC Benny, and Tony Rock, Eddie Gossling and is a regular at the DC Improv. He co-wrote the popular blog “Not Hating Just Saying,” that was featured on Gawker.com.

DC Improv/ Baltimore Comedy Factory / Arlington Cinema Drafthouse / Wiseacres /State Theatre

Jeff Maurer is one of the fastest-rising comedians on the East Coast. My – I mean his – quick wit and affable personality have made me a hit with audiences of all ages.

Jeff split his childhood between Oregon, Kentucky, Washington state, and Virginia, and his diverse experiences in those places shaped my unique perspective on the world. After college and a brief stint in the Peace Corps, Jeff began performing comedy, and my sharp insights and friendly demeanor quickly earned him a reputation as one of the most promising comics of my generation. I have performed at clubs including the DC Improv, Baltimore Comedy Factory, Arlington Cinema Drafthouse, Wiseacres, State Theatre, and many more.

Was any of the previous paragraph written in the first person? If so, then I, an objective biography writer, made a mistake. My apologies.

Jeff currently resides in the Washington, DC area with his wife, though this may not have been updated in a while. He is available for parties and events, where my sharp wit and affable demeanor, as well as his quick insights and friendly personality, plus his affable insights, quick personality, sharp friendly, and other variations thereof, are sure to be a hit.

Growing up in the 80s Jason Weems wanted to be the same thing as every other little boy: Hulk Hogan, Sunny Crockett and MacGyver. Around the age of 12, he realized these were all middle-aged white men who lived on the edge and it probably wouldn?t work out for him. He has performed from coast to coast, has been seen at many major clubs/comedy festivals around the country and on Seasons 5 & 6 of NBC’s Last Comic Standing.
